Pastor James D. Swindle & his lovely wife Kelly, has pastored Church of God Churches since 1985. They have pastored the Velvet Ridge Church of God Ministries since 1995. They give credit to their ministry in Velvet Ridge due to the fact they have been involved with people.
We have learned, and preached that we are not a Church of one Pastor, and one Congregation. We are a Congregation of Ministers, and we as a church will minister.

Nathan Mays & his wife Dawn have served as Student Pastors at Velvet Ridge since May of 2013. They have two children, Libby & Levi. Nathan & Dawn have been involved in youth ministry since 2005.
Nathan has a heart to see students on fire for God. It is his goal to help students discover, train, & operate in their gifts & callings of God.
Dawn is director of a cutting edge Sign/Drama team. They minister through powerful worship & prophetic movements that are relevant to today's youth.
Nathan & Dawn work best as a team. Their ultimate goal is to see lives changed & revival come to a generation that has never experienced God in a personal way.
